Our Story

Legends Sports Camp (LSC) was created to provide a fun, inclusive program for children to learn and try various sports while developing teamwork and leadership skills. Founded by the people behind the Withrow Ball Hockey Academy, LSC aims to eliminate the barriers often associated with trying different sports. The founders, Collin Wong and Stephen Alvo believe that all children should have equal opportunity to play sports, regardless of any challenges they may face in doing so.

Collin and Stephen first met playing ball hockey at a very young age. In 2016, the two of them quickly saw the need for a ball hockey focused summer program in the Riverdale community. Eight years later, the Withrow Ball Hockey Academy is now the largest ball hockey summer camp in Canada. Looking to reach a wider variety of kids and encourage both multi-sport development and inclusivity, they both knew it was only a matter of time before they opened a multi-sport program. Legends Sports Camp will offer many sports, not just ball hockey, and they believe this is critical in developing an athlete and giving them the opportunity to learn and discover new skills. The program will operate with a similar structure to the Withrow Ball Hockey Academy and still include weekly field trips! Legends Sports Camp looks to build on Withrow Ball Hockey Academy’s success, while also leveling the playing field for all children. We look forward to our first summer of operations, and are excited to help every camper unlock their inner LEGEND!
